Making a difference to our local community

The unprecedented floods in Kerala in July left behind a trail of destruction and displaced families. In an attempt to help this region get back on its feet, we at RRD collaborated with World Vision and Habitat for Humanity to provide relief efforts in a phased manner — because we endeavor to add value to the society we live in.

In Phase 1 of this initiative, we focused on immediate relief efforts through in-house donation drives that included collection and distribution of dry food items, sanitation products, basic shelter and healthcare products for flood-affected areas. Our employees were the driving force behind our CSR activities. They formed teams and distributed these relief kits to 200 households, facilitated donation drives and dispatched 3,715 units of relief materials. Phase 2 of this initiative is ongoing and includes long-term rehabilitation and rebuilding. RRD will work with Childfund India and World Vision in five villages and districts to provide educational assistance and aid for children, create access to clean drinking water and rebuild infrastructure.
